WOOZE Release New Single 'Bittersweet Timpani'

London duo WOOZE have announced their return with a propulsive new single titled “Bittersweet Timpani”.

The track is out now via London tastemaker label Young Poet and follows on the heels of the band’s 2021 EP “Get Me To A Nunnery”, which saw the band earn widespread critical acclaim for their inimitable sound and visuals.

“Bittersweet Timpani” sees the band at their fuzz-drenched and idiosyncratic best. Merging thick, distorted, groove-heavy riffing with heavy 80s Glam-Pop inflected vocals, the track sees the band continue to push the envelope into more anthemic and bizarro territory than ever before. Epiphanic backing vocals drive the track forward whilst the hook-heavy instrumentation showcases WOOZE at their heaviest and most danceable.

Speaking on the new single, the band say the track is,

“A song about walking home alone, dejected and rejected. We thought the pitiful, pity-party lyrics would juxtapose nicely with the muscular glam-rock bravado of the music.”
