It’s been a summer to remember for indie-rock risers The Cases. They showcased their enviable potential with the bright melodies and storytelling lyrics of their debut EP ‘My Penny’ before storming festival season, with highlights including headlining the overflowing This Feeling tent at the Isle of Wight, conquering the main stage and Kendal Calling, and sparking scenes at Y NOT?. But that’s only the beginning, as The Cases power on with the new single ‘Don’t Lose Your Nerve’.

It’s easy to see why ‘Don’t Lose Your Nerve’ is already becoming a fan favourite after the band introduced the song at recent live shows. This time The Cases have delivered another cracker: Harry Hornsby’s voice exudes the defiant, empowering message of the song’s lyrics, while its central guitar riff is an instant earworm and the fuzzy, high-intensity solo provides an unexpected surprise. In short, it’s a single which pushes The Cases’ artistic style forwards, without losing sight of why fans loved the ‘My Penny’ EP.

Harry says,

“‘Don’t Lose Your Nerve’ is about backing yourself when everyone else is telling you not to. It’s about the pressure of not knowing where you’re going, taking the risk anyway, and trusting yourself even when people around you think you’re making the wrong choice.”
