PLAY DEAD Announce Debut EP + Release New Single 'Shaun'

South London punks PLAY DEAD are pleased to announce the release of their debut EP, 'Skint', on 26th March 2021 via Blitzcat Records.

As a taster of the EP, the band are sharing lead single ‘Shaun’—their wry ode to bassist Ollie’s nan’s boyfriend—which is out now on good digital service providers.

Commenting on the track, the band say:

“It’s a story about Ollie's nan's boyfriend, a gentle giant with a short fuse who got arrested for punching a man off his bike in Brixton. He enjoys pies, pints and Coldplay.”

Born out of pre-pandemic bedroom boredom, PLAY DEAD are three teenagers from Herne Hill with sharp tongues and an appetite for noise influenced by The Chats, Slaves, IDLES, The Streets, Shame, and Sleaford Mods.

Tracklist:

1. Hide

2. Skint

3. Shaun

4. Brockwell Park
