Yorkshire alternative/electronic newcomers Flesh Planet are pleased to reveal their new single ‘Computer Games & Rude Things’ which is out now on all good digital service providers.

The track is the latest to be taken from the band’s debut EP, // first flesh, which is out now—blending elements of grunge, shoegaze, industrial, and electronic in an eclectic but accomplished new sonic direction, the EP was recorded at their residential recording studio Chairworks (The Reytons, Kaiser Chiefs, Paul Heaton, Richard Hawley) in Castleford.

Commenting on the lyrical themes of the song, vocalist Damo Hughes says:

“This song is talking about one of the dimensions of my own neurodivergent kind of depression that I know lots of other people experience. It's this battle between these two contradicting fears. On one hand there's the fear of the outside world that feels like it's just full of doom and like it's gonna chew you up and force you into this meaningless existence if you participate. And on the other hand, you're scared that you're not gonna realise your potential if you don't do something. It's basically a reality check to stop romanticising your own suffering and do something positive.”
