Goo Goo Dolls - Rock City, Nottingham 24.02.2020

Rock City, Nottingham was taken over by the Goo Goo Dolls faithful on Monday evening. The crowd comprised of many different age groups which was brilliant to see and showed the appeal of a band that have been around since 1986.

I’ve come to the party a little late, as normal. I’ve only recently been introduced to the band via the latest album ‘Miracle Pill’ which has some quality songs on it. The back catalogue is extensive and judging by the crowd singing along to every song the set was full of favourites.

For a band that have been around for so long I was intrigued to go check them out see what I had been missing. I must admit they were very good and the sound and vocals were impeccable.

Guitarist/vocalist Johnny Rzeznik had the crowd in the palm of his hand. He mentioned he’d been introduced to the locals the day before after being called ‘knobhead’. Welcome to Nottingham.

The set consisted of 22 songs which showcased the bands career and they were delivered perfectly. An all round polished performance. The crowd went home very happy and I shall be delving more into the back catalogue too.

Nicely done guys and come back soon.

If you do any chance us photographers can shoot from the pit next time! =D
