Josh Ritter - Union Chapel, London 22.07.2019

It’s a common opinion that an artist’s second album is the hardest release, following a successful debut. Now touring his tenth album, Josh Ritter must be an absolute expert in consistently delivering the quality his fans across the world expect from him.

Seventeen years on from that intimidating album #2 release and Josh Ritter shows no sign of slowing down with a huge set performed at the gorgeous Union Chapel to a sold out crowd who lapped up every word from the American artist not commonly seen in the UK.

With an infectious smile contrasted with comments on the political landscape, Ritter delivered a captivating show full of variety - from old-school classics like ‘Kathleen’ to songs from the new album, and an emotional rendition of Frightened Rabbit’s ‘Old Old Fashioned’

Closing with ‘All Some Kind Of Dream’ from his new album, ‘Fever Breaks’ Josh Ritter keeps defying expectations.

Josh Ritter’s new album, 'Fever Breaks', is out now and can be streamed on multiple platforms.
