The Clay People were formed in the 90’s by Daniel Neet who was a DJ in the Industrial/ambient rock scene. Quickly adding Brian McGarvey and Dan Dinsmore, TCP became a wall of sound and a force in the New York music scene.

What were you all up too prior to the band, was this always the chosen path or did you have other dreams and aspirations?

Prior to The Clay People, each member was actually in other successful bands in the Upstate NY

Music scene, but knew each other well, gigging together etc. Every member of TCP has only held true passion for one thing and that is the gift of writing and performing Music.

Tell us about your latest EP/Album and why our readers should check it out?

The new release from The Clay People, 'Demon Hero', has a unique vibe to it in the sense that its truly

Organic with all the emotional accents and unscripted melodies. The elements of danger and beauty will encase you and bring you to a place musically that isn’t common anymore - a place that The Clay People fans are fired up for once again!

Have you ever come face to face with someone within the music scene who has left you awestruck and why?

All of us have been fortunate enough to share the stage and befriend some of the greatest

entertainers in the business. It’s like a brotherhood/sisterhood and we are all passionate for the same

craft. There are many stories to tell, maybe in the next interview we can elaborate!

If we were to head out to one of your live shows what can ourselves and others expect?

The live TCP show is my favorite part of the band. There is an intensity that gives me goose bumps just thinking about it. It’s electric, it’s intense and that doesn’t let up until the last note rings out. There

are visuals, there are anthems, and don’t even think about about grabbing a drink or using the bathroom during a TCP set because you will miss something guaranteed!

If you had one artist/band that you could go on tour with tomorrow who would it be and why?

Wow, just one? Lol with so many to choose from, we are going to have to say Nine Inch Nails.

Because Trent and company possess and embrace all the elements that TCP look up to and

it’s a musical venture that’s never grown old, never went out of style – it’s timeless art!

You can spend an hour with a musical icon living or dead, who would you pick, why and what would you speak about?

Again, so many choices… I think the answer here is Elvis. A man who had the balls to try something

that could have ended his career quickly during that time period. A man that had true vision with

no one to bite off of or copy. I so envy that! We would talk about him getting proper medical guidance

so he could live longer, who was better Black Sabbath or Led Zepplin, if I could marry his daughter, who his tailor was and lastly we would have a PB and banana sandwich making contest.

And finally and most importantly is Die Hard a Christmas Movie?

I heard a Christmas song so Yeeeeeeeeeeeeees!
