Interview With 'FLOWMOTION'
Firstly, introduce yourselves and tell us a little bit about the band and how you came to be?
We are FLOWMOTION, Electrocore/Metalcore band from Como, North Italy. This project rises from the ashes of our old band, with Thomas (vocals), Andrea (drums) and Enea (bass). Fabio (guitar) came suddenly and has become a part of the family. Then Mattia (guitar) joined with us after one year, so the band is complete.
What were you all up too prior to the band, was this always the chosen path or did you have other dreams and aspirations?
At the moment this dream is far away. But we work even for that. And we are positive about it. In one point it will become reality.
Tell us about your latest EP and why our readers should check it out.
Our last (and, for the moment, only) EP is "COLLAPSE", 5 songs connected together with what they mean, even if every one sounds like a different genre. Why you should listen to it? To discover what we are talking about! Anyway, we are working on new stuff, we have already released a new single, 'All But Nothing', with new sounds and different topic compared to "Collapse". And... we are recording in these days another song, but it's a surpise!
Have you ever come face to face with someone within the music scene who has left you awestruck and why?
Usually we go to every gig of every scene band that plays in our cities. Bands such as Periphery, Attila, Parkway Drive are just amazing. We hope to share the stage with all of them! We've been on tour in Europe with a French band, Alaska, and played here in Italy with bands such as Our Hollow Our Home, Secrets and a lot of Italian bands.
If we were to head out to one of your live shows what can ourselves and others expect?
For us, the most important thing is to have fun and entertain the people. It happens to see bands that play but do not transmit anything. It is essential for us to do shows. It is not important if it is the fifteenth date of our tour and we are tired. Everyone should leave the show happy and amazed. Otherwise, we have failed.
If you had one artist/band that you could go on tour with tomorrow who would it be and why?
Probably Crossfaith and Enter Shikari, it would be amazing. We've never played with bands with as much Electronic as we use in our songs.
You can spend an hour with a musical icon living or dead, who would you pick, why and what would you speak about?
I think we will decide to spend one hour with Jimmy Hendricks. In the beginning it will be speaking about Rock, music, and historical influence in the seventies. But in the end we will finish talking about girls, alcohol and fun. So it will be not so useful.
And finally and most importantly is Die Hard a Christmas Movie?
We think is not. But our question... is Gremlins a Christmas movies? (Editors Note: Yes!!!! Yes it is!!!)
