Interview With 'Rebel's End'

Firstly, introduce yourself/yourselves and tell us a little bit about the band and how you came to be?

Rebel's End is a Belgian sleazy Hard Rock band with a Punk attitude and some Metal influences.

We are based in Antwerp and are inspired by bands such as Guns ‘N’ Roses, The Misfits, WASP & Mötorhead. We started in 2015 when our previous bands ceased to exist and formed the current line- up. We had just one goal and that was to rock out, as hard as we can.

What were you all up too prior to the band, was this always the chosen path or did you have other dreams and aspirations?

Drummer Dol and guitarist/vocalist Jeff James have been playing together since 2009 and are currently active in the Black Metal band Panchrysia. We have been long time friends and even lived together for a short while. Bassist Stijn and Jeff have a history playing in a fast and aggressive Punk band called Cut Here! and have known each other from the local scene, going to shows and goofing around. Lead guitarist Rutger is new to the band after rocking out in the band Elephant. We are super pleased with his experience in songwriting and fresh energy. Our current line-up is all about friendship, the love for creating kick-ass music and the thrill of playing live.

Tell us about your latest Album and why our readers should check it out.

Last year we released our debut album “Seeing Red Seeing Dead”. If you love a good slab of Rock ‘n Roll, you probably will like our work. You will find 10 modern sounding Rock tunes with Punk and Metal influences.

“It’s an album of relentless sleaze Metal carnival, fueled by Jack Daniels, razor blades, Doc Martens and enough high octane to fuel a Sundays worth of drag races.” (Terry martinson/SleazeRoxx)

Or, if you love bands like Hardcore Superstar, Crashdiet or Wednesday 13, you are in for a treat.

Have you ever come face to face with someone within the music scene who has left you awestruck and why?

Last year we did support for The Last Vegas. We’ve been following them since 2005 so we were very proud to play with them. If you know they played with AC/DC and Mötley Crüe , you know this was a smaller show for them. We met the guys backstage, all really friendly dudes, and when I told vocalist Chad Cherry there weren’t as many people as we hoped, he said to me “So we just rock a little harder then, get everybody moving”. And they did. They kicked ass. The day after they played a sold out show with the Quireboys in Germany. We were really “awestruck” by their awesome mentality and attitude.

If we were to head out to one of your live shows what can ourselves and others expect?

Expect an uncontrollable urge to stomp your feet and shake your head on some high energy Rock ‘n Roll. We play a set full of sing alongs from the first chorus till the last.

If you had one artist/band that you could go on tour with tomorrow who would it be and why?

The Cruel Intentions and/or Hardcore Superstar. They make Rock n' Roll as it should be.

Catchy as fuck , with a dangerous sound.

You can spend an hour with a musical icon living or dead, who would you pick, why and what would you speak about?

Personally I would choose Keith Richard(s) because he is my all-time favorite.

Just kick back with some drinks and acoustic guitars and let the conversation unfold itself.

Never a dull moment.

And finally and most importantly is Die Hard a Christmas Movie.

Of course it is, yippi-kayee and happy holidays !!!!
