Interview With 'Remnants Of Hope '

Firstly, introduce yourselves and tell us a little bit about the band and how you came to be?

Zander: Hey, i'm Zander. I'm the Vocalist.

Paul: I'm Paul Graveyard and I'm the second lead guitarist.

Nykii: I'm Nykii Nightmare and I play lead guitar and do all the music videos for the band.

We started out as a Three Days Grace/Seether cover band back in 2008. We all grew up playing music together, so the transition to becoming a band that performed live was pretty natural. We eventually moved to covering heavier and heavier bands till we started writing and playing our own music in early 2014, February to be exact...

What were you all up too prior to the band, was this always the chosen path or did you have other dreams and aspirations?

This was always our chosen path and dream. We all had our hearts set on this since we were fairly young.

Tell us about your latest EP and why our readers should check it out.

Our latest EP was called 'Mirroring My Pain'. It's a concept EP about inner struggles and the war everyone is at with their own emotions. You should check it out because it has four music videos that tell the whole story from insanity to peace of mind!

Have you ever come face to face with someone within the music scene who has left you awestruck and why?

Zander: Phil Labonte from All That Remains. Why? Because he's an incredible vocalist.

Nykii: Stitch D from The Defiled. They broke up this year, which bummed me out. Why? They're one of the bands that made me want to be industrial. I think they're awesome!

If we were to head out to one of your live shows what can ourselves and others expect?

High energy. A crazy amount of dual guitar magic and screams that won't quit.

If you had one artist/band that you could go on tour with tomorrow who would it be and why?

Zander: The Relapse Symphony. I think it'd be a great fit and watching them every night would be amazing.

Nykii: A band from Sweden called Avatar! We'd go pretty well and going on tour with them would be would be frickin' cool!

Paul: Bullet For My Valentine! I think we'd kill it going on tour with them.

You can spend an hour with a musical icon living or dead, who would you pick, why and what would you speak about?

Zander: Billy Joel. Because he's one of my idols. We'd talk about suits.

Paul: Jacky Vincent. He's one of the best guitarists I can think of. We'd talk about how he learned to play so well at such a young age so I could learn from him.

Nykii: Alexi Laiho. I really look up to him since he's a lead guitar player and leader of Children Of Bodom. I'd get tips on what he does to stay sane through all of what needs to be done in running a band.

And finally and most importantly is Die Hard a Christmas Movie?

Totally!

We just want to say thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.

Thank you for having us!
