Sunjay – 'That’s Love' Single Review

Just prior to his appearance on the Blues show with Cerys Matthews blue and Americana artist Sunjay released his new single, 'That’s Love', which is a teaser for his new album, which will be his tenth, 'Split the Sheets' due out later this year.
It’s a proper slice of blues, country, pop and Americana with an infectious chorus, an almost chaotic feel, lots of quality vocals from Sunjay and his backing singers and the kind of groove that will get you onto a dance floor if this is your kind of music.
This song is a real throwback to classic country but with a hint of pop sensibility, think Kenny Rogers with a hint of Elvis and Garth Brooks hanging about somewhere.
This isn’t personally my genre as I’ve always been more a new country fan, like Mary Chapin Carpetner for instance, but I do think this has got the potential to hit big for Sunjay, with the right radio play has the possibility to become a crossover hit aka Billy Ray Cyrus.
If this is your thing I think you’re really going to enjoy this, it bodes well for the album.
