Elles Bailey released, on Friday the 12th of June as stand alone single, 'Back To You', which has featured as a bonus track on the deluxe CD or her recent album, 'Can’t Take My Story Away'.

It’s an emotional powerhouse of a single, I can understand why the decision was taken to release it as a single, if it doesn’t generate some serious airplay on radio, I’ll be very surprised.

Elles has been steadily building a reputation as a brilliant live performer with a string of successful records behind her, but it feels with this song she might me moving into to a new stage, it showcases her brilliant lyrics and vocals. Throw in some brass, a Hammond organ and some restrained guitar playing and the music is a showcase for her ability and writing.

The soulful vocal performance feels like a mix of country, soul and rock with her words being a mix of empowerment and longing. This is one of these songs you can sense will be someone’s first dance at their wedding or that late night song you put on with the one you love. It’s just perfect, it feels like Elles is only going to get better and that’s a good thing for all of us.
