DMA's - 'My Baby’s Place' Single Review

Off the back of their recent UK tour which I was lucky enough to see, DMA’s have released a new single, 'My Baby’s Place'.
It’s very summery, very jangly and very melodic. It has a feel of the LA’s about it and also, not surprisingly given my previous statement, a 60’s vibe. It feels like the start of something new and could be a sign the direction they are going in.
The DMA’s have a passionate fan base who love a good sing along, this single should add to that cannon of singable, danceable, enjoyable songs that make their live shows such a joyous experience.
The DMA’s are still touring the UK and playing at least four shows in May, go see them, you will love it, hopefully they play this song as it stands up well, it has a mix of happiness and pathos that makes you wonder if going to his babies place is a good or bad thing. I’ve yet to decide but I know I like it.
Is his babies place a good or bad place to go? Why don’t you listen to this song and see what you think but the refrain of rewind makes me think the singer may have already blown it and the desire to go to his babies place will never be fulfilled, what do you think?

I enjoyed the review of DMA’s My Baby’s Place because it broke down the song’s feeling and style in a way that made me want to listen right away. Last term when I was buried in essays and exams I even used do my dissertation for me as something I used to finish on time while still finding space to enjoy new music like this. That taught me that balance between work and joy really matters.
