Call Me Amour unveil the video for their new single 'The Way That You Are',
Speaking on the new single, guitarist Geoff Murphy comments:
“‘The Way That You Are’ started life as a heavy rock/blues riff, but we wanted to give it a different energy, bringing in a dirty, bass-heavy sound inspired by our love of big electronic music, particularly Wiley’s ‘Brand New Rolex’ and Kele’s ‘Tenderoni’. We had a lot of fun with the video too, leaning into that 1950s high-school rock ’n’ roll vibe, with a little nod to our mutual love of Grease.”
Vocalist Harry Radford adds:
“'The Way That You Are' was one of those songs we kept pulling apart and putting back together until it finally clicked. We love the sound and energy of it, and the video was an absolute blast to shoot. There are definitely some nods to bands and iconic music videos we grew up loving, so I’m sure people will spot a few influences.
“Massive love to Sitcom Soldiers, who’ve brought our crazy ideas to life since day one, and to all the actors, friends and beautiful misfits who made this one happen. We love you all!”
