First things first, the current incumbent of the whitehouse has clearly enthused Anti-Flag. The opening song samples liberally from him, regardless of your political views it’s clear he provides a lot of ammunition to all sides of the political spectrum and Anti-Flag couldn’t resist the urge to use that.

Anti-Flag are a bit like a more political and full on Green Day They have some very clear views but, and it would be shame if it did, you shouldn’t let their politics distract you from what is an excellent Punk record. If you agree with their politics then you will enjoy this even more, but, if you don’t share their views, you can still really enjoy some excellent Punk.

The title track, '20/20 Vision' is fantastic. It’s the kind of song that deserves to make a big dent on the collective consciousness. However, 'Don’t Let The Bastards Get You Down', is what Punk is all about. If you don’t get this you don’t get Punk. I know there is an argument that Punk will never again be what it was during 76/77 but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of quality Punk bands out there making a lot of good music, Anti-Flag are one of them. Personally I also really enjoyed 'Unbreakable' but for me there is no weak link on this album.

However, the song that should have the biggest impact is 'Un-American', it’s one of those songs that, if it gets the right airplay on the right stations around the world, will find Anti-Flag suddenly with an unexpected hit.

I’ve checked, because I really enjoyed this album, but I can’t make any of their upcoming UK shows, if you can, you should, there is no doubt in my mind that they will be excellent live. Go and enjoy, you know attending a Punk Rock show is the right thing to do in these confusing and troubling times, lets face it, currently it feels like the world is going to hell in a handbasket but, if it is, why wouldn’t you enjoy yourself on the way there? Anti-Flag can help with that, listen to them loud or go see them!
