A Choir Of Ghosts - 'Southwest Of The Moon' Single Review

“Southwest Of The Moon” is the latest single from Swedish artist A Choir Of Ghosts and the first from upcoming debut album “An Ounce Of Gold.”

The track is a deeply melancholic, stripped back Acoustic Folk song about loss, and growing as a person. The song also has undertones of “coming of age”, and of wanting to go back to a simpler time.

The acoustic guitar makes the single feel earnest and heartfelt, with the electric guitar at the end adding to the feeling of melancholy and begging for forgiveness. This is a deeply promising first single, and its layers of lyrical meaning and sublime vocals serve to make one deeply optimistic for this debut album release, and it thoroughly earns its 4/5 stars.
