Interview With 'JJ Friends'


Firstly, introduce yourselves and tell us a little bit about the band and how you came to be?

We are JJ Friends, a hard rock band from Barcelona Spain, our training is based on:

Jose Jarque: voice Juan Cañuelo: Guitars Paco Reina: Guitars Antonio Guirao: Bass Beast: Battery.

Our music wants to enter Hard Rock with touches of the XXI century. JJ Friends, was born from the project of Jose Jarque, starting to work on the songs and later he contacted several friends from other bands to create an album of which we are very proud.

What were you all up too prior to the band, was this always the chosen path or did you have other dreams and aspirations?

We have worked in bands like Doble o Nada, Luna Llena, Hysteria, Deborah, bands of the most Hard Rock style with influences in Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skyrnyrd, Van Zant, Dio, Kiss, Bon Jovi, and now working hard for a more modern sound , Black stone cherry type, Pop Evil etc ... We have always been on the path of Hard Rock. Our aspirations?, To reach a public, to show our work and for the public to coree our topics, that is a dream we are working for.

Tell us about your latest Album and why our readers should check it out?

Our album has the strength of Hard Rock from the beginning with a sound of this century, a very personal guitar, our melodies lead you to feel sensations that we want to express outside the language, let yourself be immersed in our music and you will feel that you live within the Rock .

Have you ever come face to face with someone within the music scene who has left you awestruck and why?

Richie Kottzen, in a concert in Barcelona, ​​was something magical, we only crossed 3 words, but his attention and his disposition towards his fans was great, Richie is a tremendous artist, guitarist and vocal of the best in the hard landscape.

If we were to head out to one of your live shows what can ourselves and others expect?

In one of our shows you would find yourself with pure energy, adrenaline inside and outside the stage, we try to transmit our passion and enjoy, which implies that our public enjoy, at least it is what we try.

If you had one artist/band that you could go on tour with tomorrow who would it be and why?

The Dead Daisies, are now our reference in terms of band, we would love to tour with them, our music is 100% valid to open a show of these beasts of the stage.

You can spend an hour with a musical icon living or dead, who would you pick, why and what would you speak about?

Paul Mccartney and John Lennon, his music was the beginning of many styles, for us they are the beginning of magic.

And finally and most importantly is Die Hard a Christmas Movie?

Possibly yes?, no?? jajajajajajaja
