Interview With 'Sirius'

Firstly, introduce yourselves and tell us a little bit about the band and how you came to be?

I'm Joe and am Italian, a guitarist and a composer for hobby. I founded this project, Sirius, around 2015, together with my friend Josh, co-producer of the project. After a year in the recording studio, we released the album, 'Revenge'.

What were you all up too prior to the band, was this always the chosen path or did you have other dreams and aspirations?

I am a therapist, I am in charge of rehabilitation, but since I was 15, I started to love guitar and since then I wanted to play guitar. The first few times I played cover, but then I wanted something of mine. I hope one day I become famous for my songs.

Tell us about your latest Album and why our readers should check it out.

'Revenge', is a concept album that is inspired by Goethe's phrase: the most cruel revenge is the hatred of every possible revenge. The sound is experimental with suggestive steps. In a song you can hear the voice of Adolf Hitler, as an example of hatred against humanity. People should listen to my album, because it relaxes the mind and the soul, thanks to the space that is created between a note and the other.

Have you ever come face to face with someone within the music scene who has left you awestruck and why?

Yes, in the firstly, the guitarist Luca Colombo, a great guitarist in Italy, who has played with international artists such as Brian May, Phil Collins and Lionel Richie. Recently I met, at the Sanremo Rock Festival of San Remo, in Italy, Matt Backer, guitarist of Elton John, Joe Cocker and other artists. He greatly appreciated my song and my sound and maybe soon a collaboration together.

If we were to head out to one of your live shows what can ourselves and others expect?

In short, hypnotic sound, the suggestion seems a bit like in a cinema. Rock, Effect, Music, Space, all this is the sound of Sirius.

If you had one artist/band that you could go on tour with tomorrow who would it be and why?

Pink Floyd and Alan Parsons Project, because they are my inspiration and music's Gods.

You can spend an hour with a musical icon living or dead, who would you pick, why and what would you speak about?

I will choose David Gilmour, because it's a source of inspiration for me, for my sound and we'll talk, if he played for me and Italian cuisine.

And finally and most importantly is Die Hard a Christmas Movie?

Of Course, hahaha.
