Interview With 'SHOUT'

Firstly, introduce yourselves and tell us a little bit about the band and how you came to be?

SHOUT - That’s What It’s All About.

SHOUT consists of Kriss Biggs (Bass, lead vocals), Rob Raw (lead guitar) Danny Diemond (lead guitar) and Ol´Hurricane (drums)

We all started up in different bands, though everyone knew each other from the very beginning. We come from the same area in Sweden, and our paths crossed on concerts, parties and much more. So when I (Kriss) came up with the idea of starting SHOUT, it didn’t take long before the four of us had found each other making way for a ROCK'N'ROLL EXPLOSION!

What were you all up too prior to the band, was this always the chosen path or did you have other dreams and aspirations?

We have all carried the torch of Rock music, since we got the first taste of the Rock’n’Roll lifestyle in our early teen years we have been hooked for life.

Me and Danny played with The Scams, hitting the road to make some Rock’n’Roll mayhem, all over Sweden and Europe for more than ten years - having a bit too much fun.

Ol’ Hurricane started out as a farmer boy. He learned to play the drums in a basement, and later moved to the city where he met Kriss, Danny and Rob.

Rob had been Rocking out playing guitar and doing crazy shit with his band Danger touring Sweden and Europe and had no plans slowing down when joining what was to become SHOUT.

Tell us about your latest album and why our readers should check it out.

We have so far released our debut music video singel ”PEOPLE OF THE NIGHT” and a CD single with "PEOPLE OF THE NIGHT” and a bonus cover track ”No Voices In The sky” with Motorhead that will only be released on the single. And the full length album will be released in September. You will hear inspirations from all the great once like AC/DC, Judas Priest, Motorhead and even some Turbonegro! So if you're in to traditional Heavy Metal and love the high energy ass kickin kind you’ll love this!

Have you ever come face to face with someone within the music scene who has left you awestruck and why?

Hmm well I know I got caught by surprise once when a man came up after a show telling me he enjoyed it, and said he could give me some singing tips and coaching, not realising until after he introduced himself that it was Blaze Bayley! hahah!

If we were to head out to one of your live shows what can ourselves and others expect?

You can expect a high energy, Rock till you drop show, where you can’t headbang enough! So bring your neck collar!

If you had one artist/band that you could go on tour with tomorrow who would it be and why?

Oh that’s a tough one! Any of the Metal giants of course but I’ve always been a big fan of Turbonegro and since they are back in the game with their new album they would be awesome to tour with! They know how to bring the party!

You can spend an hour with a musical icon living or dead, who would you pick, why and what would you speak about?

Lemmy! No explanation needed! We wouldn’t need to speak, just listen to Rock at the highest volume possible and perhaps the occasional shout out ”you want another beer?"

And finally and most importantly is Die Hard a Christmas Movie?

No, its a lifestyle.
