Interview With 'Scarleth'

Firstly, introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about the band and how you came to be?

My name is Victor, I'm founder and leader of the Scarleth, I play guitar during all years of band's existence. In my teenage years I was influenced by 70's Hard Rock bands, so it was natural wish to form my own. We play sort of Melodic Metal which has no strict genre limit. One song may sound as "Folk Metal", next one may sound as "Modern Metal" or "Gothic Metal " and so on. We really like diversity and always trying to push the boundaries of our sound.

What were you all up too prior to the band, was this always the chosen path or did you have other dreams and aspirations? Music was always something we were into. That is the main force which connects us together. From listening to music, performing music - to visiting live shows, it is all our life which we enjoy really much. Tell us about your latest Album and why our readers should check it out. Our latest LP is called "The Silver Lining", and we are really proud of it! It consists of nine songs, which are really different to each other, so if you like diversity just like we are - you will be surprised :) I think those songs are among the best we've done so far. Have you ever come face to face with someone within the music scene who has left you awestruck and why? Maybe some of my teenage-era idols like Ian Gillan or Ritchie Blackmore... when I met them I felt awestruck because their music mean so much to me. Otherwise, we don't feel awestruck, we really like to communicate with other musicians and bands, it is the part of the music life. If we were to head out to one of your live shows what can ourselves and others expect? You can expect loads of drive, energy and nice impressions :-) We work hard to be as good as possible on stage, we live our lives to play live for the people, it is really important for us to give our fans the best we can give. If you had one artist/band that you could go on tour with tomorrow who would it be and why? I think Within Temptation or Amaranthe would be great :) I've been to their shows and talked to them after - they are seem to be really nice people, it would be cool to tour with them. You can spend an hour with a musical icon living or dead, who would you pick, why and what would you speak about? I don't think I'd like to borrow time of my idols, because they are just people like you and me, after the show they want to rest and have a break. It is not always good to get their attention in persistent way. I just really like their music and all I have to say to them is "thank you" :) Hour is too much for that :)

And finally and most importantly is Die Hard a Christmas Movie? Wow :) Yes, that maybe the most active christmas movie ever! :)
