Firstly, introduce yourselves and tell us a little bit about the band and how you came to be?

We are Oceans and this band consists of Zach Silver on the vocal chords, Tom Hollands on the 6 string, Conor Hyde on the other 6 strong, Jack Warren on the 4 string and James Gillingham on the skins!

What were you all up too prior to the band, was this always the chosen path or did you have other dreams and aspirations?

I think we were all a little bit lost and twiddling our thumbs until we all came to the realisation that it had to be music and music only...

Tell us about your latest EP and why our readers should check it out.

On March 13th our brand new EP 'Far From Composure' will be making it's way into your Spotify playlist and iTunes library. We've been gigging and touring the songs on the EP since summer and it's been amazing doing so. For fans of bands like Incubus, Don Broco, Deftones, Dance Gavin Dance, Underoath and Of Mice & Men, you definitely want to be giving this EP a chance. The EP is melodic, technical, beautiful, emotional and heavy in parts. It's something we're very proud of and we feel there's a lot of depth to the music on the EP. One thing that will probably be clear to the listener is how big the sound is too!

Have you ever come face to face with someone within the music scene who has left you awestruck and why?

Our drummer James met Ben Thatcher (the drummer of Royal Blood) at where we usually rehearse. He's a very down to earth guy and he was more interested in finding out about James opposed to speaking about himself. James did tequila shots with him too!

If we were to head out to one of your live shows what can ourselves and others expect?

A very sweaty, captivating display of energy! We always give 110% regardless of crowd size. A mosh pit or two have been known to happen amongst the crowd as well...

If you had one artist/band that you could go on tour with tomorrow who would it be and why?

Probably Press To Meco. Those boys are killing it... They're going from strength to strength and they really deserve it as they're the most humble down to earth people we have met.

You can spend an hour with a musical icon living or dead, who would you pick, why and what would you speak about?

Probably Noel Gallagher because he's just so funny and interesting. The things he's done, the wisdom he could share... Would be a great hour I'd say...

And finally and most importantly is Die Hard a Christmas Movie?

Fuck no! I believe this argument got settled last Christmas and the final verdict is no apparently...
