The Magic Numbers Return After Three Year Hiatus With New Album & Tour Announcement + Release Ne

London-based quartet The Magic Numbers, are returning this year after a three year hiatus with new album 'Outsiders', due out on May 11.

The band are today airing the first new track to arrive from the album, 'Sweet Divide'

The new album runs with the theme of the outsider and misfit, capturing the Stodart & Gannon siblings with a grittier sensibility, evident on 'Sweet Divide'.

It’s the fifth album from the band that signed to Heavenly Records, surpassed a million album sales, scored a fleet of Top 10 singles and bagged a Mercury nomination. Along the way, the band have collaborated with artists including Damon Albarn (Africa Express), Jane Birkin, Spiritualized and Villagers, plus seen the release of two well-received solo albums from Michelle Stodart.

Speaking of the new album Romeo says: "I never wanted to be a part of anything, the cool kids at school, the pretend outlaws. I was always an outsider, we’ve always been an outsider band. We don’t fit in, never have and never will. Especially now. As you get older you realise your strength in not giving a fuck. You realise what you’ve been trying to do your whole life. Create something that’s yours, your own world, your own views, make something special, start your own gang but always be YOU within it. Don’t conform. Don’t fall in line. Be free. Be inspired. Inspire. Live & Love. To all the Outsiders"

'Outsiders' is due for release on May 11
