Interview With 'The Bad Flowers'

May 20, 2016

Firstly, introduce yourselves and tell us a little bit about the band and how you came to be?

Hey! we are The Bad Flowers, made up of Karl on drums, Dale on bass and vocals and Tom on guitar and lead vocal, we actually came together to be this line up from bands and projects that had run there course and we had kept intouch from playing on the same bill a few years previously.

What were you all up too prior to the band, was this always the chosen path or did you have other dreams and aspirations?

We've always had an interest in music, we always dreamed about having the opportunity to do what we do now. We've all dabbled in music while we were growing up, but now its become such a big part of our lives and if we aren't practicing or writing new material, we're playing live and putting on a show, can't imagine doing anything else.

Tell us about your latest EP/Album and why our readers should check it out.

The latest EP we released was Killing Time. It's got some infectious tracks and big riffs, it was great to be able to record 'Living The Dream' and make our first official video. We're currently recording the next EP which will be full of more thunderous riffs and huge choruses that will get you moving and joining in.

Have you ever come face to face with someone within the music scene who has left you awestruck and why?

We recently went to see Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown who we have all been fans of for a long time. It was their first UK gig and they smashed it. It was a real honour to meet them after the gig.

If we were to head out to one of your live shows what can ourselves and others expect?

The feedback we always receive is that we have great energy and chemistry on stage. We try to include some crowd participation and get people involved with the show, and mostly just want everyone to have a great time and leave wanting more.

If you had one artist/band that you could go on tour with tomorrow who would it be and why?

It's hard to name just one band, but personally Rival Sons would be the ultimate choice. Those guys are really ripping it up at the minute and we love their music.

You can spend an hour with a musical icon living or dead, who would you pick, why and what would you speak about?
It's got to be Jimmy Page, if he hasn't done it in music I don't think it would be worth doing!

And finally and most importantly is Die Hard a Christmas Movie?

Die Hard is a Christmas film with out doubt, but its one of those that if your in the mood its ok to watch it in july.

We just want to say thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.
